There is currently a pretty rare beast available from the the guys at Berrybrook Steam in the shape of this 10 Tonne Fowler Diesel Roller.

Now on the market after being a display feature in our yard for some time, this is a very appealing project diesel roller which is a rare survivor in such complete condition.
It features the original, three-cylinder Fowler engine and bears many resemblances to its slightly earlier, steam counterparts. We understand this example spend its life working in Scotland (and a crest can still be made out in the flaked paintwork on the side) before being laid up needing engine works. We understand most survivors had their engines swapped for ease of parts and maintenance making this remarkably unusual in its originality and a real head turner!
It wants for a complete, mechanical overhaul. Structurally, it looks sound which is unsurprising giving the heavy-duty build style and materials use. The wooden cab is either original or was fitted early in its life (it at least had modifications which don't look original, but we aren't sure!).
